4-H Grows Young Scientists Join us in trying out the biofuels blast, this year's national 4-H science experiment https://www.4-h.org/NYSD/.   This is a timely topic - expanding the minds of youth and adults about biofuels.  Fun little experiment, and a pre-curser to the actual National Youth Science Day on October 7.

In addition to testing corn syrup, youth will test and discuss other alternative fuel options, including switchgrass, sawdust, sorghum and even algae. These fuel alternatives – researched by the 106 Land-Grant Universities and Colleges across the nation that oversee 4-H youth development programs in every state – differ by region throughout the U.S., providing an opportunity for youth to learn about their home region as well as others.

Choose Health! for you and your world Choose Health is an educational campaign of Cornell Cooperative Extension designed to help youth and families confront and take action to change the statistics of childhood obesity and sustain the health of our environment. “Health” is, after all, the 4th H in 4-H.
