PWTs & Program Committees

PWTs, or Program Work Teams, function as campus/county/stakeholder planning teams around a particular topic.  For 4-H,  the PWTs are connected to the national Mission Mandate programs.  Below are documents of interest to serve the committees or others that may have an interest.

4-H Youth Healthy Living PWTs

Supports and guides educational programs and environmental changes that promote healthy eating and active living as well as other aspects of an overall healthy lifestyle among children, youth, families and communities. The PWT draws upon national and other state extension systems work in Healthy Living: http://www.4-h.org/youth-development-programs/kids-health/

In 2011 the PWT began to implement their recommendations to form 3 PWTs.  The Healthy Eating and Active Living (HEAL) PWT is working on Choose Health efforts.  A second PWT, Risk and Thriving in Adolescence, has been approved.  See:  http://cce.cornell.edu/learnAbout/pcs-pwts/Pages/ActiveProgramWorkTeams.aspx  CCE educators and faculty are in early stages of proposing a third PWT on Youth, Nature and the Outdoors.
